The City of Lake Elsinore presented Stadium Pizza as its October Business Spotlight, recognizing the downtown restaurant and brewery for its role in local economic activity and community partnerships. Gina Gonzales, Economic Development, introduced the award and said the city’s Business Spotlight program provides recognition through a produced marketing video, newsletter coverage and social media promotion.
Gonzales described Stadium Pizza’s community involvement, saying the business “actively supports our local nonprofits, such as Cups for Kids, Michelle's Place Cancer Resource Center, the Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerce” and partners with local schools to provide student incentives and employment training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. General manager Kyle Conrad and owners Rick and Sandy Kordick were on hand to accept the recognition.
Mayor Tisdale and other council members offered remarks praising the business’s role in downtown revitalization and community support. The city screened a short video highlighting Stadium Pizza’s history and brewery operations. The presentation noted the business opened its current iteration in 2017 with roots back to 1988 and operates a 30-tap locker-room-style brewery featuring several house brews.
Stadium Pizza representatives acknowledged the honor and thanked the city for the recognition. No formal action or funding decisions were associated with the presentation; it was an honorary recognition under the agenda’s presentations section.
