Branson approves wage addendum for Local 152 firefighters, estimates $170,000 FY impact

The Branson Board of Aldermen on Oct. 24 approved a second addendum to the collective-bargaining agreement with Southern Missouri Professional Firefighters Local 152 covering monetary provisions only.
City staff told the board that city negotiators, including the fire chief, human-resources staff and legal counsel, met with Local 152 representatives in August and September 2025 to reopen monetary provisions as permitted by the collective-bargaining agreement. The addendum authorizes a 4.14% pay increase tied to successful performance evaluations, a 1% COLA for all city employees and an additional 1.8% increase targeted to firefighters, engineers and captains. City staff summarized the combined increase for those fire classifications as 6.84%.
Finance staff said the estimated financial impact for FY2026 is about $170,000 and that the increase is sustainable in the submitted 2026 budget. The board voted 6-0 to approve the addendum; due to timing the board also moved to read bill 66-19 for final reading and approved the ordinance on final reading 6-0.
No alderman requested further amendment or placed conditions on the addendum during the meeting. The clerk recorded roll-call votes for both the initial approval and the final reading.
