Cross Plains trustees approve signs, paint and parking limits in response to Valley Street traffic complaints

Trustees approved small, low-cost traffic-calming measures after residents and public safety staff described recurring safety and noise problems on Valley Street and nearby neighborhoods.

At the start of the public-comment period resident Seth Johnson urged the board and the public safety committee to consider additional measures for Valley Street beyond earlier committee recommendations, saying Valley "could be done with games and signs, etcetera, including the parking lanes" to reduce speeds and noise.
