Mark, the township road supervisor, told trustees Oct. 27 that the Butler County Engineer provided an estimate of $14,915.57 to retrace center and edge lines on Weaver, Lehi, Bell, Jenkin, Morgan Ross and North Dwyer roads.
Mark said that the township has divided its roads so center and edge lines are retraced every other year to help nighttime driving and snow‑plow operations. He told trustees that, if the township decides to proceed, it must submit a resolution to the Butler County Engineer by Dec. 1 to be included in county work.
Mark also reported that Valentino Contracting installed a new heat pump and coil in the community center front room and that crews recently power‑washed and polished the community center floors ahead of an upcoming election.
The road supervisor requested approval to purchase a 12‑inch tooth bucket for a Kubota excavator from Zimmer Tractor for $1,600 to help with small drainage tile projects. A trustee moved and seconded the request on the record; no further debate was recorded and staff proceeded with procurement protocols.
Mark said he and other staff will attend a snow and ice control training Oct. 30 and that routine maintenance and small drainage repairs are ongoing.
