Board approves letter of support for 1 Vision's proposed five‑person home in Clear Lake

Cerro Gordo County supervisors voted Oct. 27 to issue a letter of support for 1 Vision's request to open a five‑person residential site in Clear Lake for recipients of home and community‑based services.

A 1 Vision representative explained that state guidance and conversations with state staff indicate counties provide the local letters of support that providers traditionally requested when seeking approval for five‑bed residential sites. The representative told supervisors the provider understood any county letter would be separate from licensing and would not change other regulatory approvals.

A motion and second to approve the requested letter of support carried on a voice vote (recorded as "Aye. Aye."), and the board thanked the representative for attending.

The action was limited to providing a letter of support and did not include other approvals or county financial commitments.
