What the board approved
- Ordinance 25-32 (traffic regulation): The board approved an ordinance regulating traffic on Brown Road and its connection to Old LaFox Road to restrict commercial truck bypass traffic. Roll-call recorded aye votes from trustees present and the motion passed.
- Ordinance 25-35 (rezoning): The board rezoned 4N884 Old LaFox Road in Wasco from a C-1 local commercial district to R-4 residential. Staff noted a nonconforming portion of the existing house and said minor scrivener's errors in the legal description would be corrected prior to final signature. Roll-call approval recorded.
- Ordinance 25-36 (special use): Trustees approved a special-use application for a self-storage facility on Old LaFox Road. The ordinance includes conditions the board discussed: no overnight accommodations, restrictions on automotive repair and storage of large quantities of flammable liquids, and covenant conditions carried over from Planning & Zoning. - Ordinance 25-29 (building permits): The board approved a comprehensive amendment to the village’s building-permit code with targeted edits following substantive debate (see separate article). The final, amended ordinance was approved by roll call and staff will publish a consolidated text.
Consent items
The consent agenda passed by roll call. The packet included language changes to municipal telecom and gas-utility tax ordinances requested by the Illinois Department of Revenue and NICOR; staff said the changes were procedural and would not alter effective dates or the use of revenue.
