County moves $18,878.52 between school quarterly appropriations to cover technology and annual contracts

She asked the board to move $18,878.52 from the division’s third‑quarter allocation into the second quarter so the district could pay annual technology contracts and avoid late fees or service interruptions.
Dr. Karen said the request does not increase the school budget but realigns existing appropriations and that she had identified several line items and contracts that were not included in the original budget estimates. She said staff will continue reconciling invoices and the county and school systems are working to reduce a vendor payment backlog.
After discussion and clarification about which account lines would be affected, the board approved the advance appropriation by voice vote.
