The Springfield School Committee recorded three formal roll-call actions during the Oct. 2 meeting.
1) Approval of minutes: Mr. Collins moved to approve the minutes; Ms. Hurst seconded. The roll-call vote was recorded as: Mister Gonzales (Yes); Attorney Murphy (Yes); Mister Collins (Yes); Miss Gresham (Yes); Miss Hurst (Yes); Miss Monroe Naylor (Yes). Mayor Sarno was absent. The motion carried.
2) Central High overnight field trip: The committee approved Central High School's request for an overnight field trip to the MSTCA Bob Glennon Twilight Invitational at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, scheduled Oct. 12'13, 2025. Dr. Dannelle (Superintendent) said the trip includes multiple boys' and girls' teams and responsible chaperones. The motion to approve was made by Mr. Gonzales and seconded by Attorney Murphy. Roll-call votes were recorded as: Mister Gonzales (Yes); Attorney Murphy (Yes); Mister Collins (Yes); Miss Gresham (Yes); Miss Hurst (Yes); Miss Monroe Naylor (Yes). Mayor Sarno was absent. The motion carried.
3) Adjournment: The committee moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting; the roll-call vote was recorded with members present voting Yes and Mayor Sarno absent.
No dissenting votes were recorded for these items during the meeting.
