The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners approved the consent agenda Tuesday after removing one item (item K) from the list because not all requirements for the final payment had been completed.
The consent agenda, as read into the record, included minutes from the Aug. 5 meeting, claims, per diems and meal vouchers. Donors Riese and Lori Marzoff gave $300 to support National Night Out; the Southeastern Minnesota Initiative Foundation provided $3,000 on behalf of an entity identified in the record as a division of Mathy Construction Company to offset the cost of a drone for the sheriff's office. The board authorized the finance director to sign three-year contracts with "clear glove" and approved updates to financial signature authorizations.
Highway items included approval of a final plat and a final payment to Rochester Sand and Gravel for a project; the board also approved a project amendment with the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Planning and zoning items included approval to purchase a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado.
Commissioner Waka moved to approve the consent agenda; Commissioner Springer seconded. The board voted in favor and the motion carried.
One consent item (item K) was removed from the consent agenda prior to the vote because the requirements to approve its final payment were not yet complete; staff said the paperwork and approvals remain outstanding.
