LCSD No. 1 reports early declines in disciplinary referrals after new district matrix rollout

The Laramie County School District No. 1 presented an early report to trustees on implementation of a new district discipline matrix and monthly behavior-council work intended to make school discipline more consistent across buildings.

Director of Student Services Jeff Lewis told the board that principals generally have given positive feedback about the matrix because it creates common language and clearer expectations that help staff engage families.
