Public works reports spike in illegal mattress dumping; county continues $20 disposal charge

Staff also said some sites had to be temporarily closed after staff received vulgar comments during enforcement interactions; the department intends to continue the $20 billing and work with law enforcement to reduce illegal dumping.
The commission had no substantive debate on the item and accepted the public-works update; staff will continue enforcement and monitoring.
