Commissioners on Oct. 29 authorized Vicky White to serve as the county’s administrator for the Department of Motor Vehicles driver-license portal. The authorization letter gives the administrator the ability to grant specified county staff access to view driver-license records for limited purposes such as eligibility determinations and child-support verification.
Staff explained the portal access is used by counties statewide for certain program needs; the county’s prior administrator had delegated access to staff and this action formalizes Vicky White as the administrator so she can control who receives access in the future.
A motion to designate White as the administrator and sign the authorization letter passed on the consent of the board.
Implementation: county staff will complete the required state paperwork to register White as the portal administrator and assign portal permissions to eligible staff in line with state rules.
