Board approves $582,000 amendment for Longdale phase of Fall Line Trail design

The Henrico County Board of Supervisors approved an amendment on Oct. 28 adding $582,000 in additional services for engineering design of the Longdale phase of the Fall Line Trail.
Staff reminded the board that a prior lump-sum contract for this phase was $3.1 million and that about $1.1 million in additional services has already been authorized through amendments. The newest amendment funds further coordination with the Virginia Department of Transportation and Dominion Energy, staff said. The Longdale phase is approximately 3.2 miles; staff said the goal is to complete design by early 2026 and begin construction by mid-2026.
Supervisor Cooper moved the resolution and Supervisor Roegers seconded; the motion carried.
