During the meeting, the commission moved and approved an amendment to the ordinance changing the effective date to Nov. 1 to allow time for administrative implementation. City Attorney Terrell Pieburn and staff confirmed the amendment and the clerk called the roll for the final vote; the ordinance passed on second reading after the amendment.
The ordinance revises section 2‑57 of the city code (use of off‑duty police officers or police service aids for unofficial functions) to reflect the updated fees. Staff said the change is strictly administrative and intended to align fees with labor agreements.
