Fannin County approves $285,000 pumper remount for fire response

"I started out at 300,000, and I got him down to 285," Thomas said when describing negotiations.
Commissioners discussed stationing and deployment; staff said the truck committee would determine placement and that additional equipment (tankers, rescue truck, brush truck) would be assigned based on operational needs. After discussion, a motion to purchase the 2018 pumper remount passed by voice vote.
