After returning to open session, the committee moved to approve legal counsel's recommendations. "We have 2 matters to address coming out of closed session. First off, I'd like to make a motion to approve legal counsel's recommendation to enter into a settlement on the labor matter, same structure to be extended to other groups who may be impacted," the chair said. The motions were supported and approved; the chair noted the recommendations and stated the matters would be forwarded to the full board with the Ways & Means recommendation.
Committee members recorded aye votes on the motions; staff said the settlement for a single individual would be handled per counsel's recommendation and would be reported to the full board.
