County approves task-order amendment with state public-health department for risk-avoidance education

Granite County commissioners on Oct. 28 approved Amendment No. 1 to the county—s contract with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) to continue a risk-avoidance education expansion program.
Public-health staff explained the amendment to the board and said it reflected wording changes to the high-school curriculum that had delayed the task order; the county—s middle-school curriculum work required no changes. "This is our yearly task order. It was delayed because of some verbiage in older curriculum needed to be changed," a public-health educator said. The staff member stated the funding level remained $10,000 per year and that deliverables were unchanged.
A commissioner moved to approve the amendment and the motion was seconded; public-health staff confirmed they would complete signatory steps and return signed documents to the state.
