Because headline acts are more expensive, members proposed adding local "bar bands" or cover acts as earlier openers to provide music from mid‑afternoon through the evening without substantially increasing budget exposure. "Just a bar band... something so that there's a live music up there playing," one member said; the board directed staff to look for local bands for Thursday (4–6:30 p.m.) and Friday evenings (afternoon opener, then headliner 7–11 p.m.).

The board voted to approve the bands and the contract amounts presented, and members discussed seeking sponsorships to offset larger act fees. Staff was asked to finalize contracts and confirm changeover times between acts.
