Winton Woods City School District's treasurer on Monday presented September financial statements and an investment report and secured board approval to use the district's five-year forecast to file a modified tax budget for fiscal year 2026–27.
Treasurer Randy Seymour told the board the district's year-to-date general fund revenues are approximately $21,500,000 and month-to-date revenues total about $6,100,000, of which roughly $3,000,000 are real estate taxes and $2,600,000 are state foundation receipts. Year-to-date general fund expenditures were reported at approximately $16,300,000, leaving the district about 2.3% under budget year to date. The district's unencumbered fund balance across all funds on Sept. 30 was reported as approximately $22,000,000.
Seymour also presented the investment report. The district had about $38,700,000 invested in September and earned approximately $141,000 in interest during the month (about $127,000 credited to the general fund and $14,000 to building funds). The board voted unanimously to approve the investment report as presented.
On the tax-budget matter, Seymour said the administration will use the five-year forecast adopted in September to prepare a modified tax budget for fiscal year 2026–27 and requested board authorization to file that document with the Hamilton County Budget Commission; the board approved the resolution unanimously and the administration will return the formal budget document for approval at the organizational meeting.
The presentation and votes were procedural; no amendments were proposed.
