The Carl Junction Board of Aldermen adopted ordinance 25-36 on final passage to rezone roughly 17 acres at Ivy Road and County Road 284 from UD (undeveloped) to R-1 residential. The motion for final passage carried by hand-to-electronic vote with seven in favor and one absence.
At a public hearing staff opened the item and Clay, representing property owners Nick and Tiffany Gratton, said the plan envisions 33 pads; he clarified the property is currently unzoned and that the applicants seek R-1 residential zoning. Planning and Zoning recommended approval and no members of the public offered comments during the hearing.
Staff said the rezoning will be followed by the normal site-plan review and permitting process before any construction or subdivision occurs. No construction permits or site-plan approvals were issued at the meeting.
