Committee approves temporary overstaffing in finance to cover payroll transition

Director of Finance Matthew Usolding said the incumbent will retire after about five years with the village and the proposed hire would start roughly one month early so the new employee could be trained on payroll runs, accounts receivable, reconciliation and the village's Tyler Munis system. Usolding said the expected extra cost of roughly $5,500'$6,500 would be absorbed from operating supplies and salary/benefit lines that are under budget.
Committee members voted in favor of the temporary overstaffing motion by voice vote.
