The Miami Lakes parade committee reviewed vehicle logistics for dignitaries and committees, including golf-cart donations, Jeep loans and morning key collection.
Denise White identified a golf-cart donor and said JJ Customs planned to supply six carts, and other volunteers expected roughly 15 additional golf carts to arrive. Committee members said the golf carts will be used by committees and elected officials; organizers asked that cart operators check in at registration at 08:00 to receive signage and assignment.
A dealership contact (referred to in the meeting as Fred) told organizers he could provide nine Jeeps for elected officials. Committee members agreed that the cars should be dropped off at Town Hall the night before the parade so drivers can bring vehicles to registration; the group said they would name a single point of contact to collect keys Saturday evening to avoid morning confusion.
Because some dignitaries indicated they might not participate in the full parade, organizers said they will hold extra carts for late additions and will assign vehicles in the registration area when participants arrive. Organizers also discussed who will affix signage to donor vehicles and recommended trained staff or volunteers do the application to avoid damage.
Next steps: organizers will confirm the final count of golf carts and Jeeps, confirm driver names, and send a morning schedule and vehicle assignments to the committee chat.
