Planning commission approves Church at Shiloh architectural plan pending grading and drainage plan

The Rankin County Planning Commission reviewed a site plan and architectural elevations Oct. 30 for the Church at Shiloh at 2394 Shiloh Road and voted to approve the design contingent on the applicant submitting a grading and drainage plan.

Staff said the project is a 21,960 square‑foot multipurpose facility that will connect to the existing building with a covered walkway/canopy. Exterior materials were described as brick and metal and elevations were shown to the commission.

Commissioner motioned to approve based on community development review that the elevations and design fit county regulations; approval was conditioned on receipt and county review of a grading and drainage plan prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy.

Ending: Staff will require the grading and drainage submittal and will not finalize acceptance until that plan is approved.
