On first reading Oct. 27 the Lauderhill City Commission approved an amendment to the Lake Park at Lauderhill development agreement that — among other technical changes — would allow the developer to sell or transfer interests in the project and adopt a phased approach to construction.
City planning staff and the applicant’s representatives gave a presentation at the CRA meeting and a prior workshop; staff recommended approval of the amendment as consistent with prior approvals. The commission voted 4–0 to approve first reading of Ordinance 25O09142.
Because this was a first-reading ordinance, the amendment will return for second reading and final adoption at a later meeting if the commission proceeds. Staff noted the item had already been discussed at the commission’s workshop and in the Community Redevelopment Agency context.
