Saint Ann board appoints Jennifer Russell to Alderman seat; Sheila Lee named police commissioner alternate

Later in the meeting the mayor nominated Sheila Lee to serve as the police commissioner alternate. The board moved, seconded and approved the appointment by voice vote. An oath was administered for the police commissioner alternate post as recorded in the meeting transcript.
Both actions were recorded as formal motions and carried without recorded opposition. The appointments were handled as routine municipal business and no additional conditions or contingencies were announced at the time of the votes.
The board immediately continued into the regular portion of the Oct. 6 meeting after the oaths and appointments.
