Sarah Steshukiewicz, chief executive officer of the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce, used the membership meeting to introduce herself and outline programs the chamber is offering to support local businesses.
"At OPAC, we're here to be your resource, your advocate and your partner," Steshukiewicz said, describing the chamber as a place to help members build visibility and connections. She said monthly membership meetings have been reconfigured as lunch-and-learn sessions held on the fourth Wednesday of each month and that the chamber is developing digital sessions and virtual workshops for members who cannot attend in person.
Steshukiewicz announced several near-term events: a Southland Community Expo on Nov. 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Orland Square Mall, described as a multi-chamber event with booths available; and the November monthly membership meeting on Nov. 26 at 12 p.m. at the Orland Park Public Library, sponsored by Jets Pizza, featuring a Wall Street speaker who will discuss artificial intelligence and the shift to a digital economy.
She said the chamber will roll out a calendar to allow members to book one-on-one meetings with the CEO and emphasized the chamber's partnership with the village. Steshukiewicz said she would remain available after the meeting to meet members in person.
