At the Oct. 8 meeting the Monongalia County Commission approved its consent agenda, which the county administrator read aloud and which included general county vouchers, payroll and specific fund payments totaling $2,708,086.89.
Items read into the record included General County vouchers of $447,008.22, payroll of $2,159,009.95, law enforcement forfeiture of $36,005.75, and smaller fund items for Chestnut Ridge Park, Camp Muffley, Mason Dixon Park and others. The commission moved to approve the consent agenda and recorded a unanimous voice vote of approval.
Separately, the commission approved two requisitions from University Town Center (UTC) district funds: requisition number 110 for $19,470 and requisition number 29 for $25,620. Both requisitions were described as payments to Municap and to the law firm Steptoe & Johnson for administrative expense funds associated with UTC districts; each motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.
The commission did not specify additional detail about the invoices or the contractual basis for the payments during the meeting. The administrator told the commission there were no budget revisions on the agenda and that position vacancies were listed on the county website.
