Finance administration director Wanda Moreau told the council the city hired BlackLine Consulting (BLC) to complete an IT strategic plan and assessment. BLC held a kickoff Sept. 19, is conducting one-on-one interviews and will deploy an all-staff survey in the coming weeks. "The goal is to have the assessment completed by early January," Moreau said. She reported the contract cost came in well below budget.
City manager Kilgore provided a separate update on Sound Transit's Stride project. "They are proceeding," Kilgore said, describing marking and early construction activity along Bothell Highway (SR 522). He said Sound Transit has funds specifically earmarked for the line and for operations, and that station structures will be procured through a separate bid process.
No council action was required for either update; both were presented as staff reports.
