Commission updates landmark database, readies documents and confirms funding process for signage/lab purchase

Historic Preservation Commission staff reported Oct. 14 that recent designation exhibits have been uploaded to a new city-designated landmark structures collection and that staff will add scanned exhibits for other designated properties as those PDFs are prepared.
Commissioners said the online list will make it easier for residents and staff to determine whether a structure is locally designated and to access the designation exhibits. Staff said the system lists year built, designation date and whether a property is on the National Register; users will be able to download PDF exhibits.
On procurement, the commission reiterated a previously budgeted expenditure for signage/lab materials. Staff confirmed the budget was approved and outlined a simple invoice/payment path: once the invoice and vendor information are provided, the finance director will process payment and staff will place the order. The commission asked staff to coordinate with the vendor after finance confirms the invoice routing.
Other administrative items discussed included continuing efforts to assemble ordinance records and council vote dates for previously designated landmarks so staff can locate and digitize older exhibits that are not presently online.
