City Manager provided updates on ongoing capital work and community programs:
• Pocket Park bollard lights: staff expect the lighting repairs and dimmer installation to be completed in the coming week to allow lower nighttime brightness while lighting the pathway.
• East Cotati Avenue: a water service line replacement is underway at Lancaster; traffic control and brief delays are expected.
• Sunflower Park: concrete, irrigation and electrical work are complete; tree planting and playground installation are scheduled with a resilient (no‑bark) surface planned. The project is expected to be completed before year‑end.
• Putnam Park: contractor walkthrough identified punch‑list items; staff expect completion in coming weeks after final corrections.
• Community events: a police community neighborhood meeting is scheduled Nov. 13; the city is coordinating with Redwood Empire Food Bank concerning potential local responses to SNAP/CalFresh benefit changes; seasonal events (trick‑or‑treating, tree lighting, breakfast with Santa) and classes were announced.
No formal council action was required. Councilmembers asked staff to coordinate outreach where appropriate.
