An unspecified municipal board unanimously approved four land plats and set its next meeting for Nov. 10 during a short session that addressed routine procedural items and several land‑use filings.
The board approved motions to adopt the meeting agenda and the Oct. 14 minutes before voting to set the next meeting date for Nov. 10. Staff then presented four separate plat applications: James and Julie Thoo (10.9 acres), Verna Hoefer (about 7 acres), JBN Properties LLC (consolidation of four parcels into one), and a boundary/plat adjustment involving Killeen Campbell and Jarrett and Sarah Brunson.
The Thoo plat covers approximately 10.9 acres. Staff said the front portion of the property already is platted; the applicants seek to vacate that lot and plat the remaining acreage together so the property can be sold. "Any questions?" the presiding member asked before the board moved, seconded and voted to approve the plat.
Staff described the Verna Hoefer plat as located in the county but within the city's three‑mile jurisdiction. The applicant is proposing roughly 7 acres to be platted for sale as a farmstead; the county retains zoning authority. The board moved, seconded and approved the plat.
The JBN Properties LLC filing is a city‑limits plat to consolidate four existing parcels into a single lot for taxing purposes, staff said. Staff said the proposal met applicable ordinances. The board moved, seconded and approved the consolidation.
The final plat involved Killeen Campbell and Jarrett and Sarah Brunson. According to staff, the Brunsons are reconfiguring two parcels, obtaining additional land from a neighbor so they can add onto their house. Access to the resulting parcel is via Pleasant Valley and is shown on the plat as an easement; staff said the county will handle the building permit because part of the property sits under county zoning. The board moved, seconded and approved the plat.
