Campos also noted the district's size and accomplishments: the district was described as the 13th largest in Colorado with about 23,000 students and 3,800 employees, and as a pioneer in career pathway programs.
Director Matthews echoed the commendations and said the superintendent contract renewal draws significant public feedback. After brief remarks, the board voted to approve the contract amendment by a unanimous vote.
The motion to approve the superintendent's contract amendment was moved and seconded on the record and passed 5–0.
