Brianna Robinson, a Ringing Rocks teacher, thanked the board for visiting schools and said those visits helped the community and staff: "If you have not already visited other schools in the district, I would encourage you to do so as these experiences are valuable across our community." She invited board members to visit her wing at Ringing Rocks.
Parent Laura McCorkle said the district’s actions have produced measurable improvements: "Because of all of these actions, we truly are beginning to see progress. Behaviors are decreasing in both severity and frequency and most staff and students are beginning to feel more comfortable at school." She urged continued training for duty aides and consistent application of the discipline code so incidents are properly reported and documented.
Parent Britney Conard said her son has seen change at recess: "We're day 7 on recesses without incident," she said, praising the measures taken at the school while urging sustained attention.
Robert Biggio, a parent from Upper Pottsgrove Township, echoed those comments and asked the board to consider contractual and administrative safeguards that would help sustain progress as decisions about staffing and contracts are made.
Board members and Superintendent Dr. Finnerty encouraged stakeholders to participate in an independent Montgomery County Intermediate Unit review focused on safety, security and special education services. The review includes a stakeholder survey, individual interviews and an assessment of special education programs; board members said the survey link is posted on the district website and community members may request interviews through the Intermediate Unit.
Board members said they would continue visiting buildings and asked the community to sign up for interviews to ensure a broad representation of views.
