Churchill Theatre board thanks commissioners for recent county support

Kathy Jones, chairman of the Churchill Theatre board, told the Queen Anne's County Commissioners on Oct. 28 she and board members are grateful for recent county support toward repairs and trust funding that will allow the community theater to continue providing entertainment and youth educational programming.
"We came to express our deepest appreciation for your support ... You have once again helped us save Churchill Theater and saved a very important piece of Churchill history in Queen Anne's County history," Jones told the board. She said the theatre plans to place a chair with a plaque reading "Queen Anne's County Commissioners 2025" as a public acknowledgment of county support.
Jones invited commissioners and residents to attend upcoming shows and said the board values county partnership for sustaining local arts and youth opportunities.
