The Vernon Hills Village Board on Oct. 7 approved Ordinance 2025‑116, authorizing a professional services agreement with Entertainment Management Group (EMG) for the 2026 Vernon Hills Days entertainment lineup in an amount not to exceed $142,000.
Manager Timoney said EMG will manage booking, production and on‑site coordination for the multi‑night event. The proposed entertainment lineup presented to the board includes a Queen/Lady Gaga tribute act (Radio Ga Ga) on Thursday night, a classic rock opener and Jason Scheff (former lead singer of Chicago) on Friday, Hello Weekend followed by the James Barker Band on Saturday, and a boy band on Sunday. Timoney said the village has used EMG in prior years and staff was satisfied with past service; the 2026 contract amount is lower than the prior year’s figure cited by staff.
The board moved, seconded and approved the contract by roll call. Timoney said EMG’s scope includes booking, production and coordination on event nights.
Notes: Ordinance 2025‑116 award to EMG not to exceed $142,000; lineup and production responsibilities described by staff.
