St. Louis committee advances reappointment to senior fund board and approves new developmental disabilities commissioner nominee

She also described her professional background: a Ph.D. in anthropology from Washington University and work on education research for the Botanical Society of America, including program evaluation, mentoring initiatives and leadership on grant-funded projects. "I've led NSF grants before, so I have a lot of experience working with budgets, working with oversight, handling audits," Adams said.
Committee members praised Adams’ qualifications and expressed support for her joining the commission. Alderman Odenberg moved a do-pass recommendation; the motion was seconded, recorded as having no objection, and the committee congratulated Adams.
