The Conservation Commission approved a request to change the approved retaining-wall construction at 109 Heather Lane from a segmental block wall to a poured-in-place concrete wall of the same height, location and configuration.

The applicant said the poured wall reduces truck trips and site disturbance in a narrow access area; the commission found the proposed method would not alter the wall footprint or amount of excavation. "There'd be a lot less machine time, carting blocks back and forth, adjacent to some of the neighbors," the applicant said.

Commissioners had no objections and voted to approve the minor modification. The vote was recorded by roll call.
