The Green Bay Parks Committee received and placed on file the director's report at its Oct. 29 meeting after a brief discussion of Ottertoberfest and other park activities.
A staff member said Ottertoberfest drew "probably several thousand people" and included activities not normally held at the sanctuary. "We had a really good turnout. It was a nice day for it," the staff member said. The staff member added that revenue totals from the event are still being compiled and will be reported later.
Committee members made light conversation about the event and related activities. A motion to receive and place the director's report on file was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The chair said items passed by the committee will be recommended to the Common Council for final approval; the Common Council meets Nov. 11 and the Parks Committee's next meeting is Nov. 19.
