Resident urges investigation after finding apparent online posts tied to SYC PAC; requests board chaperoning for school visits

Steph Musser of Codorus Township used the meeting’s public-comment period to raise a student safety concern and to call for investigation into online material she believes may be connected to local political actors. "Several weeks ago, Reddit posts came to my attention that included reviews of *** workers and comments on a **** site where men fantasize about swapping their daughters for ***," Musser said, as she described materials she had reviewed. She told the board she cross-checked a PAC financial report and saw an address on the SYC PAC filing that appeared to match the address associated with the username posting the material.

Musser said she contacted district administration and the Pennsylvania Department of Education to share her findings and asked the district to cooperate with the state in a thorough investigation. "Since this potentially involves the conduct of sitting school board directors or candidates who may become school board members, I'm calling on the administration in cooperation with the state department of education to to conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations," she said. Musser also requested interim visitor protocols while any investigation is pending: "I'd like to request that all school board directors be required to provide advanced notice of their visits to our schools and that they will be chaperoned by a member of school staff when interacting directly with our students."
