The York County Board of Commissioners voted Oct. 28 to postpone consideration of a WJE Consulting indirect‑costs item until county staff meet with child‑support administration and return the matter to the board.
Commissioners expressed concern that recent or imminent changes in child‑support administration could affect how indirect costs are allocated to the county's budgets. Chair Groats and Sheriff Gary (who earlier discussed incentive payments) agreed staff should consult with "Mr. Ehlers" and relevant program staff before the board approves an annual indirect‑cost arrangement. The board set a target of returning the item at the first November meeting after those consultations.
The action was recorded as a motion to postpone; commissioners approved by roll call.
