Commission approves modest fee increases for archery and contracted youth programs

Ryan (recreation staff) said archery supplies — especially arrows — have driven up program costs and that $483 in archery supplies had been spent this year. He said the fee increase equates to about $1 per class for residents (so a five-class session would cost $30 rather than $25) and is intended to help cover consumables.
Ryan also described other contracted-program changes: youth and adult judo moving from $79 to $95 in anticipation of future gym rental costs and a reduction in one Lac La Belle program fee to encourage higher enrollment. Several other programs — gymnastics, baseball, youth tennis and others — had no proposed changes.
A motion to approve the program-fee adjustments was made and seconded; the commission approved the changes by voice vote.
