Design phase set for Corte Madera's East Field; town seeks volunteer commissioner for stakeholder meeting

Staff emphasized the project has many local stakeholders ' including youth soccer groups ' and requested at least one commissioner to serve on a stakeholder subcommittee to review designs and provide feedback. Commissioner Miles and another commissioner discussed the project timeline and the need to ensure broad input. A commissioner volunteered to serve on a one-time stakeholder meeting.
Staff said they will bring a report to the commission in December that summarizes the design, expected costs and a recommended construction schedule. The commission asked staff to provide firm cost estimates and to confirm Public Works's capacity to oversee the construction schedule and maintenance implications once the field is completed.
