The Clawson Planning Commission voted Oct. 28 to approve a mural application for 110 East 14 Mile Road for the business identified in the packet as Red and the Wolf.
Staff told commissioners the submitted design appears to meet mural standards, including the limit on commercial messaging, and complements the building's gray-and-black façade with a splash of red. The applicants for the site previously occupied by Zeoli's did not appear at the meeting; staff recommended the commission could approve but suggested a color rendition be supplied for the record.
One commissioner said the proposed palette "brings the colors together" and described the design as tasteful. With no additional objections raised, a motion to approve passed on a roll-call vote.
Staff will add the color rendition to the file when it becomes available and will document the approval in the permit record.
