Resident says Coburn’s not enclosing dumpster; city says citations underway

At the start of the Oct. 27 open forum, resident Cathy Coles told the council Coburn’s had not enclosed a dumpster despite months of correspondence with city staff. "They have done absolutely nothing for 3 months," Coles said and presented a photograph to council members.
City staff responded that the city is at the point of issuing citations after attempts at outreach and mailed correspondence that received no response. A city official said staff would follow up again that week. Council members and staff discussed the option of court action if the business does not comply.
Coles said the problem had persisted for years and that she had threatened legal action previously, which resulted in a fence being erected in the past; staff reiterated they would continue enforcement steps. No formal charge or court date was announced at the meeting.
