Intervention Evaluation Committee approves prior minutes and adopts six-meeting 2026 schedule

The Intervention Evaluation Committee of the California Board of Registered Nursing voted on Oct. 29 to accept the IEC meeting minutes from July 30, 2025, with non-substantive corrections and to adopt a proposed calendar of six meetings for 2026.

The committee first moved to accept the minutes and conducted a roll-call vote. Chair Heather Hallmark and Vice Chair Lehi Watson recorded "yes" votes; the motion carried (vote tally recorded as three yeses in the meeting record).

Later in the agenda the committee considered a staff-proposed 2026 meeting schedule that increases IEC meetings from quarterly to six times in 2026 to better meet program needs. A motion to approve the proposed schedule was seconded, and the committee voted by roll call. Chair Hallmark and Vice Chair Watson announced "yes" votes; the meeting record shows the motion passed with four yeses. Committee materials note that the proposed schedule accounts for board and committee meeting timing and state holidays.

Both approvals occurred in open session before the committee recessed into closed session at 09:10 a.m. for applicant-specific matters.
