Committee action: motion to deny was carried; the committee recommended denial to council and invited the applicant to appear before council on Nov. 3 if they can cure the deficiency.
Why it matters: State licensure for therapists is a prerequisite for local massage-establishment licensing; without a licensed therapist on file the committee found the application violated local code and could not be approved at the committee level.
