The applicant said planned entertainment would include live music and DJs, and proposed Thursday through Sunday operation (with peak late-hour activity on Friday and Saturday). Committee staff explained probationary cabarets are issued for six months, after which the business may apply for a yearly cabaret.
Several members expressed concerns about the applicant’s limited experience running a bar and about parking capacity relative to expected live-music events. The committee deferred the probationary cabaret (13b) to allow the applicant to amend the application to reflect actual hours, include a second in-town manager or submit clarifying documentation, and to return at the Nov. 10 meeting.
