The Crowley Independent School District Board of Trustees appointed Michael Laszick to fill the boards vacant Place 3 seat until the regular trustee election in May 2026.

Trustee Shekinah Watkins (motion recorded by Trustee Davis during public proceedings) moved to appoint Laszick; the motion received a second and passed. After the vote, trustees administered the oath of office and welcomed Laszick to the dais.

The appointment completes the boards selection process that began earlier in the summer. The appointee will serve through the next regular board election in May 2026, at which point the seat will be filled by voters.

The board did not discuss any special conditions for the appointment in open session; the oath was administered immediately following the vote.
