RCSC leaders described plans for the Fall Arts & Crafts Festival on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving (Black Friday and the following Saturday) at the Dennis center. The meeting record places the dates on Nov. 28–29 with festival hours quoted as 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturday.
Organizers said the festival will fill the breezeway and adjacent spaces with a large number of clubs and that food trucks will be positioned to the left of the breezeway and the nearby parking lot to remain visible while avoiding taking handicapped parking spots; the staff later clarified that two standard handicapped-designated spaces will be used but two other spaces will be redesignated to remain even.
Entertainment will include a ukulele club and a guitarist (identified in remarks as Mike Federico), and the event will run a limited announcer schedule—announcements twice an hour rather than continuous stage commentary—and no background music to keep ambient sound lower for vendors.
Organizers also discussed logistics for golf carts and parking and said they had coordinated in advance with Church of the Palms to use its lot while preserving about a dozen spaces the church uses. Event leaders warned members to exercise caution entering and exiting golf carts.
Those who asked whether vintage or vehicle clubs could participate were told that the festival targets artisans and craft-style merchandise; vintage vehicle displays are not automatically included unless the club offers items appropriate to the craft market. The garden club was described as "grandfathered" and allowed to continue participating.
Separately, the meeting announced a first-time golf expo scheduled for Nov. 6 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.), with club spaces available for demonstrations and sales and a car club raffle featuring a Mustang.
Clubs seeking to participate in either event were told to coordinate with event chairs; the arts-and-crafts chair for next year was identified as Susie Larkins of Bell Ceramics.
