Radford Theatre to mark 90th anniversary; council adopts proclamation

The proclamation notes the theatre is the oldest single-screen first-run movie theater in the Commonwealth of Virginia that still shows first-run films, and it designates November 2025 as the Radford Theatre ninetieth-anniversary celebration month in the city.
Councilors voted to adopt the resolution and directed staff to ensure the Scuretti family, owners of the theater, receive the proclamation and to coordinate support for events during the coming year.
